EXCURSION TO CURONIAN SPIT – NERINGA (370 km)

07:00 Departure from hotel to the seaside of Lithuania. Arrival to Klaipeda – sea port, crossing by ferry the Curonian Lagoon and reaching the Curonian Spit, a sandy stretch of land, 98 km long and varying in width from 400m to just a few kilometers, between the waters of the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea, a great holiday site, full of the sweet scent of pines, water and ozone. Formed some 6000 years ago as sand accumulated in shallow waters near the coast, it is an extremely romantic area today with its fishing villages developed as resorts, such as Juodkrante, famous for the Hill of Witches where one can see wooden statues of legendary heroes in a dense pine wood, or Nida, the resort of serene beauty, the main destination noted for its magnificent dunes 50-60m high, the Lithuanian Sakhara, attracting visitors since the middle of the 19th century.

EXCURSION TO KAUNAS (100 km)

09:00 Leaving from hotel “Crowne Plaza” to the second city of the country. Tour of Kaunas includes a walk in the Old Town with its famous sights, such as Kaunas Castle, Vytautas church, Town Hall Square, Cathedral. Renovated Vilniaus street and the main pedestrian boulevard Laisves aleja with its 2-3 floors buildings, restaurants and shops. Visit to Devils Museum – the imposing collection of over 2000 devil statues or Art Gallery of famous Lithuanian painter and composer M.K.Ciurlionis.

EXCURSION TO DRUSKININKAI (130 km)
09:00 Departure from hotel “Crowne Plaza” to Druskininkai located about 100 km from Vilnius, a picturesque Dzukija national park area famous of its pine forests, rivers, rivulets and mineral water spa resort Druskininkai.  
It will be a unique possibility to visit a Soviet sculpture park in Grutas forest and to come back to the past. After restoring Lithuanians independence, most of the Statues of Communism leaders were pulled down, now they are collected in one place – Grutas Park at the approaches to the town Druskininkai. You will have a fabulous opportunity to witness an awe-inspiring life in Soviet times – the history, traditions and art.

EXCURSION TO EUROPE PARK (20 km)
09:00 Pick-up at hotel „Crowne Plaza“. The purpose of trip – visit to the center of Europe. In 1989, scientists of National Geographic Institute of France gave the description of the European geographic centre and, applying the scientific method of gravitation centers, appointed that this centre is located in the North from Vilnius. The mark of the geographic centre –a local stone found in the fields and weighing 9 tons was put at the place of the centre. A metal slab with an inscription is fixed on the stone.
There is an Open Air Sculpture Park in 14 km from geographical center. The exhibition spans an area of 55 hectares. The sculptures are permanently exhibited amidst beautiful rolling hills, woodlands and grasslands dotted with natural springs. The yellow blossoms of the grassland in the spring time and the faded colors of the misty autumn add an atmospheric backdrop to the sculptures. This harmonious whole with the light changing as the day progresses makes a lasting impression.
Duration: 3 hours with visit to Open Air Sculpture Park.
